buyn asked: Do you have building skills? I'm wondering, because BBC America is hosting a Tardis building contest. The winner gets a copy of every episode that is sold on DVD in the USA. Which is a lot of Doctor Who. Just so you know.

Anonymous asked: Hi, Mark (:
I'm the same anon who recommended you read Unwind, by Neal Shusterman, if you remember that...
I recall you saying you're completely sold on it, and that if you don't do it for Mark Reads, you'd read it on your own.
But I think I (and your numerous disciples) would REALLY enjoy it if you did do it for Mark Reads....

Anonymous asked: Did anyone fake-spoil you while you were reading anything?
Example: The day before Deathly Hallows came out, it had leaked online and I was out to lunch with a group of friends. I don't think any of them had read the leaked pages, but everyone was antsy about not getting spoiled, so we took turns shouting "Harry Potter dies... of syphilis!" or "Neville kills...

Mark Watches 'Doctor Who' has begun!
As of today, I begin the very difficult, ambitious quest to watch as much Doctor Who as possible.
Join me!
Anonymous asked: Is there one character that you liked (or didn't hate as much as the others) from the Twilight series, and why did you like them?
aarontveitnine asked: Have you ever read House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski? It wouldn't really work for Mark Reads, but it's a really good book and you should read if it you ever get the chance.
blodwynn-deactivated20110605 asked: Have you thought about doing Steven King's The Stand or Under The Dome for Mark Reads? They're both huge (1,000 pages plus) but quick reads and so good. I read The Stand in about two months, and Under The Dome in two weeks.

Since you're starting Dr. Who, this is relevent. Also, DEM HIP BONES.

joramun asked: I think it'd be interesting to see you read the His Dark Materials series, if only for the controversial religious undertones.
yonderarebeards asked: Ever thought of reading/reviewing comics or graphic novels? :D
I'm not too familiar with American comics (only with Belgian and French), but if you know one you want to read... I can't really propose many Belgian or French ones, because I don't know if you can get a copy in English. My favorite series (Cities of the Fantastic) only has four books that got an English...

grassandcitrus asked: The Artemis Fowl series, Mark. I'm telling you, it's great. Also, it's not YA. :3
maliciousmaeplayswithlions-deac asked: I'm not sure if you'd be interested in it, judging from your previous posts about books and what I'd assume you like, but I think you should check out The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. I'm sorry if it's not your typical book that you'd enjoy, but I fell in love with it and it honestly changed my perspective on life. Let me know what you think!
rabblevolunteer-deactivated2013 asked: Have you ever thought about the Series of Unfortunate Events? I know I sent you an e-mail about it a long time ago and you were sort of interested. It's a little young, I think, but it's a series and there is a movie so you could have a live blog party.
(I love your blog)

mshermionedanger-deactivated201 asked: I was trying to think of Mark Reads suggestions! But almost everything I read is a series/YA. Maybe Discworld? It's a series but less serial (if that makes sense). Basically, you don't really have to read them in any particular order, and there are like five different sequences to choose from. Just don't read the first (by publication date), like, four books or something. They get a...
Anonymous asked: Mark, I think you're incredibly handsome. If we could snuggle, it would complete my life. I'm obviously the shyest guy EVER.
Honestly, I'd like you to read me excerpts from your blogs as I feed you orange slices (unless you don't like orange slices, in which case I will feed you fruit that you enjoy).
Is this an impossibility?
