Ladies and gentlebots

First, a little preamble.

This fic was inspired by Mark Reads Harry Potter, a fantastic series of liveblogs well worth anybody’s time, and more specifically by Mark Reads The Sorcerer’s (sic) Stone, and more specifically still by one line that said liveblog highlighted.

I immediately wrote what follows, but struggled to think of anything more to write, and so left it to wither and die in my fic folder.

Looking over it on Tuesday, it occurred to me that the reason why I couldn’t think of anything more to write was because the story was already finished. Anything more would have been painting the lily.

So I present, for your enjoyment, Harry Potter and the Excellent Adventure.
